First Post!

Well I decided to start this blog for you, my children, to read one day in the future to learn more about me, your father, your life, etc. I should mention by future that I mean when you are over the age of 21 as I am sure some topics that shall arise will be inappropriate for youngins. And I named it for my children instead of daughters just in case your father and I one day have a boy. So for this first post I figured I would start off with where you both are currently. Also, I will take this time to apologize for the big bows in every picture, hah! I am hoping you will love them as much as I do, when you look back at your baby pictures but if not I am sorry :)

Saylor Grace:
You are 23 months old (just 17 days short of your second birthday, ahhhhh)! You are starting to talk up a storm and learn new words daily. Your absolutely favorite word lately has been Momma. You say it 20,000 times a day and while I love you, this is currently driving me absolutely crazy. You are obsessed with Minnie Mouse, you manage to locate every single Minnie Mouse in your location at all times and I must look at and praise each one of these Minnie Mouses a minimum of five times each. We will be having a small, family only Minnie Mouse party the day before your birthday. You are a somewhat picky eater, it can be quite difficult to get you to eat normal kid things like grilled cheeses, chicken fingers, pb&js, and pasta. This is because you have a refined palate and want to expensive and hard to make for little kids foods like: crab legs, shrimp, crawfish, and sushi rolls. You have started squealing and making high pitch shrieks over everything lately and I am trying to get you to stop it immediately! I constantly tell you that you will be the death of me. I love you to the moon and back, but as of right now you have been a high maintenance child. Although, I will say the reasons why you are a little bit of a difficult child (stubborn, hard-headed, bossy, controlling, etc) will serve you well in life if you use them for good and not evil. You are definitely your father's child in both looks and personality.

Breezy Kate:

You are just 10 days short of 4 months. You hold your head up like a pro and can roll from back to belly. You could probably also roll from belly to back but you have a meltdown every time I put you on your belly. You so far have been the polar opposite of your sister. You are a fairly laid back and content baby. All I have to do is look at you and say two words and you just smile away. You absolutely love to talk to us and love to lay on your activity mat and kick your toys. I told your father that you will probably be a dancer or soccer player due to the fact that you have yet to master reaching for objects but you have mastered purposely kicking said objects. The only real problem we have had so far has been acid reflux. While it is not severe enough for medication, it is still bad enough that you and I spend most of our days covered in spit-up. I am counting down the days till you start solids as I am hoping this will help resolve the spit-up issue (I am currently planning to start solids at 6 months). You father and I love you so much.

I will say girls that at this point I am still in shock that I have one little girl, let alone two. It is so surreal to me. I am so grateful to your father for agreeing with me that being at home with you two is the best thing for our family. I love that I get to hang out with you girls all day and that we get to spend so much quality time together. You two and your father are my whole world!
